My Story

I have always loved food. From an early age I loved cooking for my family, falling asleep with recipe books by my side and planning my next meal. Sometimes I'm surprised I didn't become a chef or start my own catering business.

What I didn't love was how I felt when I ate certain foods. Since early childhood, I experienced varying degrees and symptoms of abdominal discomfort when I ate certain foods. In my late teens, I was regularly sick or suffering from recurrent tonsillitis (a sure sign of a compromised immune system). At about 23 years of age, I was stressed, not looking after myself and had high blood pressure.

At age 25, I decided to quit my job, went skiing for 9 months in Canada, returned home with the lowest (normal) blood pressure I had in the last 5 years. My doctor advised that I should continue doing whatever it was that I was doing. Unfortunately skiing for the rest of my life was not an option. I had to make changes to my lifestyle to stay healthy and happy. The penny was starting to drop.

It’s only as I got older that I began to really appreciate the profound effect that nutrition and lifestyle could have on our health.

In my late 20’s, I left my career in the corporate world and have never looked back. I chose to return to tertiary studies and undertook a Bachelor of Health Science in Nutritional Medicine. I genuinely believe that nutrition is fundamental to our health and wellbeing and that our bodies can do remarkable things when provided with the correct nutrients and given an opportunity to heal. I have successfully improved my own health over the years by altering my dietary habits and my lifestyle, by addressing nutritional deficiencies and minimising environmental risk factors.  I look forward to sharing my knowledge of nutritional medicine, health and healing with all my clients.

If you’re ready and committed to making your health a priority, let me show you how Nutritional Medicine can improve your health and enable you to live your best life.

My Nutritional Philosophy

I'm a big believer that good nutrition and optimal health starts in the home and the kitchen. It's important to encourage & support healthy eating habits from a very early age.

Since becoming a wife and mum in 2017 & 2018 respectively, my passion for nourishing my family with nutritious food has only increased and I look forward to teaching my children about quality food and nutrition.
